Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child of Richard McCormick. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and would often perform plays with puppets for the kids in her community. Her rise to fame as a fairytale started when she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of six, which prompted a call from the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her first major part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children who auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared a blended-family. The run of five years for the show was a success. McCormick revealed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year duration of the show. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that in season five on the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams. The incident would have happened, she says. But, the time of our romance wasn't right.
